“Coffee” cream cheese frosting

¼ cup hot water
3 tsp Herbal Coffee Alternative
1 package cream cheese, at room temperature
½ cup butter, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup powdered sugar
Steep Herbal Coffee Alternative in the hot water for about 10 minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer, squeezing as much goodness as you can from it. Let cool completely or chill in the fridge (this can be done ahead of time).
In a bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment, beat together the butter and cream cheese until creamy. Add in half the powdered sugar until incorporated, scraping down the sides when needed. Add in the concentrated tea and enough powdered sugar to create a frosting that's smooth and spreadable.
Cut each Madeleine in half and spread the cream cheese frosting. Decorate with toasted coconut flakes.
