Overnight Apple Spiced Oats

Cook time: 5 minutes

Total time: 3 hours, 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plant based milk

  • Star anise pod

  • 2 tsp Apple Spiced tea 

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats

  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds (optional)

  • 1-2 tsp sweetener of your choice (maple syrup or honey work great)

  • Pinch of fine salt 

  • optional toppings: fresh apples, cinnamon nuts, etc.

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan heat milk with star anise (just below the boiling point).

  2. Add tea and steep for about 5-8 minutes, then strain the mixture.

  3. Stir in oats, chia seeds, pinch of salt and your favourite sweetener.

  4. Pour mixture into an airtight container or Mason Jar. 

  5. Chill at least 3 hours or overnight.

  6. Serve hot or cold with your choice of toppings.
