Overnight Apple Spiced Oats

Total time: 3 hours, 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup plant based milk
Star anise pod
2 tsp Apple Spiced tea
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 tsp chia seeds (optional)
1-2 tsp sweetener of your choice (maple syrup or honey work great)
Pinch of fine salt
optional toppings: fresh apples, cinnamon nuts, etc.
Instructions:
In a small saucepan heat milk with star anise (just below the boiling point).
Add tea and steep for about 5-8 minutes, then strain the mixture.
Stir in oats, chia seeds, pinch of salt and your favourite sweetener.
Pour mixture into an airtight container or Mason Jar.
Chill at least 3 hours or overnight.
Serve hot or cold with your choice of toppings.
